Description

Shifting Sands and Solid Rock explores the role of consecrated life in a changing world. Patricia Jordan reflects on the past fifty years, highlighting the importance of gratitude and joy for the journey that has led us to our current situation. She emphasizes the need to live the present with passion, echoing Pope Francis's call for radical and sincere living. The author draws on her own experiences as a Franciscan Sister Minoress, drawing out the significance of mysticism and prophecy in this context. Jordan invites readers to consider how they can allow the Holy Spirit to guide them, enabling them to make a positive impact in the world. With its thoughtful exploration of faith and spirituality, this book offers a valuable perspective on consecrated life and its relevance today. Through her writing, Patricia Jordan encourages readers to reflect on their own relationship with God and their place within the wider community of believers.
