Sheets: Typewriter Works is a collection of minimalist poetry that explores the intersection of freedom and constraint in the typewriter as both a decaying machine and a mode of composition.
The poems in this book were inspired by the author's receipt of an Olivetti Lettera 30 typewriter, once owned by poet William Hawkins, who passed away in 2016. Through engagement with various writers and artists, Sheets: Typewriter Works re-embeds the minimalist poem in the typewritten page.
This book extends the author's earlier work, Book of Annotations, and offers a unique perspective on the role of poetry in our times.
