Description
Serial Kitsch by Gary Shipley explores the complex relationship between art and violence. This poem delves into the world of serial killers, examining their "kitsch" - their letters, corpses, and appearance - to reveal an intimate bond with fiction and reality. Shipley's work is a thought-provoking exploration of media and its impact on our perception of violence. The result is a disconcerting yet lyrical book that challenges readers to confront the darker aspects of human nature. With its unique blend of conceptual poetry and gothic themes, Serial Kitsch is a necessary read for those interested in exploring the boundaries between art and reality.
