Description

Ferenc Juhasz's Selected Poems is a highly original and important work in European poetry of the 20th century. First brought into print by Shearsman Books, this collection forms part of a comprehensive survey of David Wevill's work as poet and translator.

Originally published alongside Sándor Weöres' work in the 1970 Penguin edition, Juhasz's poetry has been rediscovered and reprinted in English. This selection showcases Wevill's translation skills and brings back into print a poet whose work deserves to be part of the history of European poetry.

With 74 pages of original poems, this paperback edition offers a unique opportunity for readers to discover or revisit the work of Ferenc Juhasz.
