Description
For business leaders facing budget constraints and complex change, finding ways to implement commercial software can be a daunting task. This book offers guidance on how to make the most of off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions like SAP, Seibel, and PeopleSoft.
Project management expert Nick Berg shares his expertise on the benefits of COTS implementation, including faster deployment times, enhanced quality and reliability, reduced development risk, and access to regular upgrades and support. He also introduces a unique process for COTS development and presents best-practice processes for COTS projects.
By understanding how to implement COTS products effectively, organisations can achieve significant cost savings and improve their overall performance. This book provides a comprehensive approach to COTS implementation, covering each project phase from objectives to milestones, and offers valuable insights into the cultural impact of such decisions on an organisation.
