Description
Seaside Shelters by Will Scott showcases a captivating collection of Britain's abandoned seaside shelters. Built to provide respite from the sun and rain during the late 19th and early 20th centuries, these structures now stand as a testament to the country's changing holiday habits. From Victorian to Art Deco styles, the shelters on display in this book reflect the diverse architectural influences of their time. Photographer Will Scott documents these iconic resorts and lesser-known coastal gems, offering a unique glimpse into a disappearing aspect of British vernacular architecture. With its striking images, Seaside Shelters is an essential look at a bygone era of seaside towns and their attempts to attract visitors.
