Description
A gripping portrait of destructive friendship, Screwed explores the limits of two women's relationship. Luce and Charlene live for the moment, pushing their boundaries with binge-drinking and reckless abandon. Their lives are marked by excess and bravado, but beneath the surface, a more complex dynamic unfolds. Kathryn O'Reilly's play delves into the darker aspects of female friendship, revealing the tensions and conflicts that can arise when two women push each other to their limits. With its raw, unflinching portrayal of relationships, Screwed is a thought-provoking drama that challenges its audience to confront the complexities of female friendship. First performed in 2016, this play has been praised for its unapologetic and uncompromising look at two women's lives on the edge.
