Description

Lexy Campbell's life was turned upside down when her first love, Menzies Lassiter, checked into the Last Ditch Motel on Thanksgiving. Just one day later, his body was found - and Lexy became the prime suspect. A mysterious object at the motel, wrapped in bacon and smelling of syrup, marked the start of a darkly funny investigation. As the residents prepared for their annual celebration, a new arrival brought fresh life to the group: a baby girl. But with one life entering the Ditch, another left it - permanently. Lexy's past and present collided as she tried to unravel the truth behind Menzies' death. With her own connection to the victim, motive, means, and opportunity all pointing towards her, Lexy must navigate the complex web of relationships at the Last Ditch Motel to clear her name.
