Description

Sascha Braunig: A Painter of Distorted Forms and Psychic Power. Canadian-born painter Sascha Braunig creates dreamlike scenes featuring bodies that seem to turn on themselves. Her paintings are characterized by repetition, patterning, and an extrasensory glow emanating from the figures' skin. This volume presents a selection of her work, showcasing her unique style and vision. Braunig's art draws inspiration from modern painting's distorted forms, adapting these legacies to contemporary life's discomforts and instabilities. Her paintings evoke a dystopian atmosphere while subtly empowering their vulnerable subjects, advocating for a humanist art in an age where individual experience is threatened by forces beyond our control.
