Description

Ernesto Cardenal's Salmos is a unique translation that brings together the poet's own work with the language of the psalms. In this collection, Cardenal explores themes of solidarity and universalism, creating a powerful and thought-provoking work. Cardenal's approach to the psalms is one of simplicity and directness, stripping away distractions to reveal a deeper sense of connection and meaning. As Dorothee Sölle notes, "There is no passage in which religion becomes an opium for the people." Instead, Cardenal's Salmos offers a more profound exploration of the human experience. This book is a thought-provoking work that challenges readers to consider their place within the world and their connection to something greater than themselves.
