Description
A dark comedy that lays bare the rules for living in a traditional family setting. When an extended family gathers for Christmas, their long-held coping strategies come to the fore, leading to a series of confrontations and deconstructions. As the day unfolds, even the most well-prepared among them become embroiled in a web of rivalries and resentments. The rules that have kept them going for so long are revealed to be fragile and easily broken. This play premiered at the National Theatre, London, in March 2015.
