Description
Rue Ordener, Rue Labat is a powerful memoir by French philosopher Sarah Kofman. The book recounts her father's tragic fate during World War II and its profound impact on her childhood in Paris. Kofman's account of the horrors she endured during the German occupation is both eloquent and unflinching. She recalls her family's life before the war, as well as her own experiences in hiding with a Christian woman, Mimi, who saved her and her mother from the death camps. The book also explores the complex relationship between Kofman and her rescuer, which left a lasting scar. First published in France in 1994, Rue Ordener, Rue Labat is a moving and thought-provoking account of one woman's survival and resilience in the face of unimaginable trauma.
