Description

Ruba'iyat of Sadi brings together eighty-eight of the most beautiful and thought-provoking poems from the Persian poet Sadi. These short ruba'is, written over 800 years ago, continue to appeal to readers with their mystical, romantic, satirical, and humorous themes.

Translated into English for the first time in a beautifully poetic form, these poems retain their original rhyme structure and meaning. The book includes an introduction that explores Sadi's life, poetry, and influence on both East and West, as well as a history of the ruba'i form and examples by its greatest exponents.

With its unique blend of beauty and insight, Ruba'iyat of Sadi offers a fascinating glimpse into the world of Persian poetry. This collection is a must-have for anyone interested in exploring the timeless wisdom of Sufi literature.
