Description

Rosa Parks: A Story of Courage and Hope. In this inspiring new book, Megan Rix tells the story of Rosa Parks from a young girl's perspective. When a tiny puppy named Howly is found abandoned in a trash can next to her school, Eddie is drawn to his bravery and determination. As she learns about Mrs Rosa Parks' courageous act on a bus in 1955, which sparked a movement against racism in America, Eddie begins to see the world in a new light. When Mrs Parks visits Eddie's school, she points out a stark reminder of racism in the playground, prompting Eddie and her friends to take action. With Howly by their side, they work together to create change and show everyone how to stay hopeful and stand up for what is right. A heartwarming story about friendship, courage, and making a difference. Paperback, 256 pages.
