Description
Romance or the End Poems by Elaine Kahn is a powerful exploration of love, truth, and narrative. This collection of poems examines the instability of these concepts, revealing how stories can both disfigure and restore us. Kahn's work takes up the tools of romantic narrative to perform a rupture between self and story, exposing the fundamental instability of truth and language. The result is an experiential portrait that probes the power of narrative to shape our understanding of ourselves and the world around us. At its core, Romance or the End Poems is a book about love - and the lies that accompany it. It is a book about separation, and the ways in which stories can both unite and divide us.
