The French painter Robert Delaunay was a pioneer of colour in art. His work was influenced by Paul Cézanne and he was admired by Paul Klee, among others.
In the early 1910s, Delaunay co-founded the Orphism art movement with his wife Sonia. This innovative style combined geometric shapes and bright colours to create a unique form of Abstractionism.
Today, Robert Delaunay is recognised as one of the greatest artistic minds of the first half of the 20th century. His legacy continues to inspire artists and art lovers alike.
