Description
Rick Haddad and Lew Rosenberg embark on a journey to rescue their mutual friend Cam Miles from mysterious circumstances in Chicago. Along the way, they encounter a series of bizarre characters and comical mishaps as they travel across Michigan in their clunky old Pontiac Le Mans. As they argue about racial politics and other social issues, Rick and Lew's recollections of events from their youth are interspersed with their journey. These vivid memories offer a glimpse into the palpable racial disparities of Detroit and Grosse Pointe, where they grew up. Their quest ultimately leads to a revelation of secrets about the past that threatens their relationship, making for a complex and humorous exploration of friendship, identity, and social change.
