Description
Set in 1885, Echo's story continues as she travels back in time to a pivotal moment in Canadian history. The government has failed to deliver on its promise of land for the Métis, leading many to flee to the Northwest.
The consequences of this failure are dire, with unscrupulous land speculators and swindlers taking advantage of those in need. Echo's family is among them, forced to leave their home and seek a new life on the outskirts of urban centres. In this final instalment of her story, Echo finds strength and resilience in the face of loss and pain.
Through Echo's journey, the struggles and triumphs of the Métis people are brought to light, offering a powerful exploration of family, community and the enduring spirit of those who have been forgotten.
