Description

Ressourcement Theology: A Sourcebook offers a unique collection of texts from leading Dominicans and Jesuits who initiated a movement for renewal in Catholic theology. This sourcebook brings together previously unavailable English translations of key documents, shedding new light on the history of Ressourcement theology. The 'return to Ressourcement' has led to a reappraisal of its contribution to 20th century theology, and many of these texts are now accessible to scholars worldwide. This selection includes significant but previously untranslated works, such as Jean-Marie LeBlond's controversial piece "The Analogy of Truth", which was condemned by the Vatican in the 1950s. These documents provide valuable insights into the history of Ressourcement theology and its relevance for the development of the Catholic tradition. They will be essential reading for students and scholars seeking to engage deeply with this important movement.
