Description
Replica explores the relationship between the body and representation, questioning what it means to be seen. Through her work, Rita Lino examines the role of the model in front of and behind the camera.
In this prescient work, Lino delves into a future where identity is subsumed by the machine of image magnification. By stripping away personal emotion and personality, she reveals the body as a pure object and image.
Replica is a thought-provoking meditation on the artist's role in creating and capturing the self.
