Description
Reading Romans with St. Thomas Aquinas explores the rich doctrinal content of Paul's letter to the Romans through the lens of St. Thomas Aquinas's commentary, written near the end of his life. Aquinas drew upon the teachings of church fathers such as Origen and Augustine in crafting his interpretation of Romans. This collection of essays by leading scholars offers a valuable resource for ecumenical discussion on biblical and theological topics, including the Holy Spirit, justification, sin and grace, and the relationship between flesh and spirit. Through its examination of Aquinas's commentary on Romans, this volume contributes to our understanding of his theology and exegesis, shedding light on key aspects of his thought and their relevance to contemporary debates.
