Description

Pronoun is a poignant love story about transition and identity. Childhood sweethearts Josh and Isabella were meant to spend their gap year together, but Isabella's journey has taken an unexpected turn.

Commissioned for the 2014 National Theatre Connections Festival, this play premiered with youth theatres across the UK and is especially written for young actors. With a cast of just seven, it can be performed with flexibility to suit different productions.

A powerful exploration of love, identity and self-discovery, Pronoun has been praised for its honesty and relevance. Evan Placey's work has won several awards, including the Brian Way Award for Best Play for Young People.
