Description

Set in 16th-Century England, this story follows the lives of two young boys who share an unlikely friendship. Tom Canty, a lowly pauper, is almost identical in appearance to Edward Tudor, a prince.

Their similar looks lead to a series of events where they could easily pass for one another, and soon they find themselves caught up in a tale of deception and growing up. When the Prince's father dies, some court officials persuade Tom to act as the Prince, leading to a story of friendship and self-discovery.

Written by Mark Twain, this 2011 edition is a worthwhile read for anyone interested in historical fiction and coming-of-age stories.
