Prairie Man: My Little House Life & Beyond

By Dean Butler, with a foreword from Melissa Gilbert and Alison Arngrim

This is the story of how Dean Butler's life was forever changed when he landed the role of Almanzo Wilder in the iconic TV show Little House on the Prairie. With wit and candor, Butler recounts his time on the set, sharing stories and anecdotes about the remarkable cast who became like a second family to him.

Butler's journey took him far beyond the world of Little House, with roles in Broadway shows and other classic TV series. Yet it was Almanzo that defined him as an actor and left a lasting impact on his life.
