Description

Sex, death, political passion are the simple objects to which Pier Paolo Pasolini gives his elegiac heart. A poet and writer of great distinction, Pasolini was also an outspoken and original voice in Italian literature. This dual-language collection presents his major poems alongside an autobiographical essay, offering a compelling introduction to his exceptional gifts as a poet. Pasolini's poetry is widely regarded as one of the most important contributions to Italian literature since its inception. Alongside works by Brecht and Neruda, it represents some of the most powerful political poetry of the century. This collection provides a unique insight into Pasolini's unique perspective and poetic vision. Published in 1996, this book offers a rare opportunity to explore the work of one of Italy's most influential writers.
