Description

Peter Bauhuis Simultanea: 18 Gefäße presents a unique exploration of metal casting techniques by artist and goldsmith Peter Bauhuis. Over almost two decades, he has been experimenting with the simultaneous casting of different metals, pushing the boundaries of materials science.

Through his work, Bauhuis creates vessels that emerge in ever new variations, as he manipulates chance to direct the oxidation process. The resulting objects display gradations of color on their surfaces, evoking abstract drawings. This book showcases 18 current vessel works from Bauhuis's Simultanea series, photographed by Hans Hansen.

With its focus on experimental curiosity and creative materials research, Peter Bauhuis Simultanea: 18 Gefäße offers a fascinating insight into the world of art and design. The book is published in English and German, making it accessible to a wider audience.
