Description

Peter Bagge Conversations offers an in-depth look at the life and work of cartoonist Peter Bagge. This collection features new interviews and previously unavailable material, providing insight into his career choices, habits, preoccupations, and comedic sensibility since the 1980s. Bagge's career has intersected with the modern history of comics, encompassing underground comix, indie comics, comics journalism, and graphic nonfiction. His work is characterized by its raw humor, garrulous nature, and often discomfiting tone, recalling the underground generation while also pointing forward to alternative comics as a distinct genre. This book provides a unique perspective on Bagge's creative output, which spans various formats and genres, including autobiographical comics, graphic nonfiction, magazine illustrations, and animated videos.
