Description
The Garbage King is an engaging classroom playscript about two boys who find themselves in desperate need of shelter. Mamo and Dani are both trying to escape their pasts, with Mamo having recently escaped the horrors of slavery and Dani having run away from his domineering father.
Forced to live and work on a dumpsite to survive, they must confront the reality of their new lives and the dangers that come with it. Will they be able to outrun their pasts or will their circumstances catch up with them?
This powerful playscript explores themes of survival, resilience and the human spirit.
