Description
Oscar's Adventures in the Woods tells the heartwarming true story of a little girl and her beloved pet turtle, Oscar. Originally illustrated by award-winning artists Eric Hector and Candace Schinzler-Bell, this charming tale follows Shelby and Oscar's special bond as they navigate the ups and downs of life.
When Oscar was given to Shelby as a gift, he quickly became her prized possession. However, one day while cleaning his aquarium, Oscar made a bold decision - he decided to explore the world outside. Despite initial worries, Oscar returned every spring, bearing the scars of his adventures in the cold alien woods.
This poignant story explores themes of home and belonging as Oscar learns that sometimes there's no place like where you belong. With its uplifting message and beautiful illustrations, Oscar's Adventures in the Woods is a delightful tale for a broad range of readers.
