Description
Omar Ba: A Contemporary Artist's Vision Born in Senegal in 1977, Omar Ba is a painter who lives and works between Dakar and New York. His paintings explore political and social themes through various techniques and materials, sparking multiple interpretations. Ba's artistic practice reactivates historical questions while elaborating on the concept of absolute contemporaneity. Trained at the Beaux Arts in Dakar and Geneva, he has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions worldwide, including recent shows at the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium and the Centre Pompidou. This book offers an opportunity to explore Ba's paintings, some of which will be displayed for the opening exhibition of Galerie Templon in New York. With works held in several public collections, including those of the Centre Pompidou and the Louvre Abu Dhabi, this publication provides a unique insight into the artist's oeuvre.
