When ambitious anthropologist Harry enters the life of Professor George Grey, his new theory threatens to disrupt her world. George's research into octopus intelligence has become her closest connection since a recent bereavement. Her subject, Frances, resides in a large tank on campus. As Harry's presence challenges her understanding, the boundaries between humans and animals begin to blur. This play premiered at Hampstead Theatre, London, in September 2023, directed by Ed Madden.
