Burroughs while still in art school in London, marking the beginning of a fruitful partnership. Their joint endeavour, Ah Pook is Here, was a 'Word/Image Novel' exploring the Control of Time and the possibilities of 'traveling' within it. This fictional medium served as a platform for an inquiry into the inherent nature of words and images. The project's core concept - a form of Metafiction - aimed to establish a dialogue between fiction and fact. The collaboration resulted in many of Ah Pook is Here's fictional elements becoming reality, often with uncanny accuracy. Even after Burroughs' passing, McNeill continued their work, bringing the project full circle.
