Description
No es lugar para mujeres
During World War I, two British doctors, Flora Murray and Louisa Garrett Anderson, left their careers to establish two small military hospitals in France. Despite the societal norms of their time, their medical skills and organizational abilities proved invaluable.
Their efforts culminated in the creation of a large hospital with 573 beds, staffed exclusively by women. Over four years, they treated 26,000 wounded soldiers and developed new techniques to cope with the devastating injuries caused by artillery and gas attacks. However, when the war ended and a flu pandemic emerged, their hard work was again undervalued, and they were forced back into the margins of society.
