nima

The body of a woman brutally murdered and mutilated lies in the living room of her home. Consumed by grief, Wahhch sets out to track down the killer: he needs to see their face, but not for revenge, rather for survival. As he embarks on his perilous journey across America alone and without hope, long-buried memories from his childhood begin to resurface. In a bold attempt to confront the darker aspects of humanity, Wajdi Mouawad gives voice to those who are often silenced - the animals. It is through their eyes that we witness the harrowing search for the true monster. This haunting narrative takes readers on an uncharted path, blending elements of thriller, western and Greek tragedy. The result is a desolate yet compelling landscape of violence, where the boundaries between good and evil are constantly tested. As the story unfolds, it becomes impossible to look away from its dark beauty. Ánima is a powerful exploration of the human condition, one that will leave a lasting impression long after the final page has been turned.
