Description
Network Convergence: Ethernet Applications and Next Generation Packet Transport Architectures provides comprehensive guidance for understanding and deploying next-generation networks. This reference covers the fundamentals of Ethernet, emerging applications such as cloud computing and mobile apps, and large-scale retail and business deployments.
The book explores next-generation networks and mobile architectures, including cloud computing, and addresses the convergence of optical, Ethernet, and IP/MPLS layers, which form the backbone of packet transport architecture. It offers practical information for network designers, architects, technical sales professionals, and those pursuing technical certifications.
Practical case studies and configuration schemes from leading vendors, such as Cisco, Juniper, and Alcatel, are included to support the deployment of next-generation frameworks for each service type. The book also discusses data center and cloud computing interconnect schemes for building next-generation cloud infrastructures that meet evolving requirements.
