Description

This collection of essays explores moral responsibility and freedom of the will from a comprehensive philosophical perspective. John Martin Fischer's approach to these complex topics is presented in a clear and structured manner, making it an ideal resource for those seeking to understand the underlying principles.

The essays examine various aspects of moral responsibility, including deliberation, practical reasoning, control, and accountability. A key aspect of Fischer's framework is the distinction between two types of control: regulative and guidance control. He argues that guidance control is sufficient for moral responsibility and can coexist with causal determinism.

By exploring these fundamental concepts, Fischer aims to provide a solid foundation for our practices of holding individuals accountable for their actions. This book offers a thought-provoking analysis of the value of moral responsibility and its relationship to artistic self-expression.
