Description

Barbra Streisand's first book reveals her passion for design and the creation of her dream home. A culmination of her love for American architecture and design from the 18th to the 20th centuries, this account showcases her perseverance and attention to detail in seeking out unique pieces. The book features photographs of the rooms she has decorated, furniture and art collected, and gardens planted on her California coast land, as well as memories of her childhood and insights into the development of her own style. With a witty storytelling approach, Barbra shares her experiences in tracking down rare items and finding harmony between interior and exterior design elements. Fans of her voice will find that she has an equally engaging voice as a writer, making this book a compelling read for anyone interested in design, architecture, or the stories behind beautiful homes.
