Description

A young writer returns to his native Argentina to bid farewell to his dying father. In their family home, he discovers a cache of documents that sets him on a path to uncovering his father's long-held obsession with the disappearance of a local man. As he delves deeper into the mystery, the writer is confronted with the ghosts of Argentina's dark past and the hidden memories of his own family's involvement in an underground resistance against an oppressive military regime. The lines between truth and memory begin to blur, leading him on a journey of self-discovery and confrontation with the shadows of his country's turbulent history. This powerful novel explores the complexities of family, politics, and identity, set against the backdrop of one of South America's most tumultuous periods.
