Description

A poignant and humorous exploration of American masculinity, My Father's Diet is a story about a man struggling to find meaning in his life. His only son studies at local college while working menial jobs, observing the disintegration of their family with cold eyes. As he navigates his own feelings towards his parents, including pity, disgust, and love, the son is forced to confront his father's latest attempt to find purpose - entering a bodybuilding competition. The old man wants his son's help to get fit, and the son must decide whether to support him or intervene when things take a dark turn. This biting satire is both a critique of outdated notions of manhood and a deeply personal exploration of family dynamics.
