Description

Jonathan Locke Hart's Musing Sonnets is a thought-provoking collection of sonnets that explore our connection to landscape and the past. Working within the traditional sonnet form, Hart crafts poems that are both innovative and rooted in European poetic tradition. The collection opens with a foreword by Gordon Teskey, who reflects on the themes that have shaped Hart's poetry. Teskey notes that these deeply thoughtful poems bring layered historical consciousness into the sonnet, touching and stirring the heart through all its levels. With 109 pages of contemplative verse, Musing Sonnets invites readers to reflect on their own relationship with the world around them.
