Description

For many North American Christians, the term 'mission' has become ambiguous and uncomfortable, evoking memories of past missionary practices that have been widely criticized. This lack of clarity can lead to uncertainty about how to live out the New Testament mandate for the church to be in mission.

The author argues that being the church is synonymous with being in mission, a concept echoed by Emil Brunner: 'The church exists by missions, just as fire exists by burning.' In this book, Carlos F. Cardoza-Orlandi explores the various challenges and misconceptions surrounding mission in North American Christianity.

He makes the case for a robust and engaged practice of mission, starting within congregations and extending to the broader community. This guide offers practical insights and reflections on how to overcome the obstacles that hinder our understanding of mission and live out our faith with greater purpose and effectiveness.
