Description

Misperformance: essays in shifting perspectives is a thought-provoking collection of essays that explore the causes and consequences of misfires, misconceptions, and misrecognitions in various aspects of life, including art and politics. The authors investigate how these misperformances can lead to significant disturbances and outcomes, both negative and positive.

The essays examine the impact of misperformance on diverse spheres of private and social life, revealing the complex and often contradictory nature of human performance. By shedding light on the potentially regressive and tragic consequences of misperformance, as well as its resistant and transgressive aspects, the authors aim to provide a nuanced understanding of the human experience.

This book offers a unique perspective on the complexities of human performance, inviting readers to consider the ways in which misperformance can shape our understanding of the world and ourselves.
