Description

Military Chaplaincy in Contention offers a unique perspective on the ethics of war and the role of faith communities in international conflict. Through the experiences of chaplains, this book explores how understandings of just war can be reformed within a theological framework. The author argues that the mission of chaplaincy is closely tied to that of the military, and that a clearer understanding of their relationship is essential for effective ministry. This book makes a compelling case for relocating our understanding of just war within a theological context, providing new insights into the complexities of modern conflict. By examining the intersection of faith and warfare, Military Chaplaincy in Contention provides a nuanced exploration of the challenges faced by chaplains in contemporary military contexts.
