Description
Mika Sperling's photographic meditations explore how cultural and familial history shape interpersonal relationships. Through intimate portraits of her daughter and Vietnamese stepmother, she examines the influence of origins and language on personal connections.
Originally trained in documentary photography, Sperling experiments with new perspectives, close-ups, and reflective surfaces to reveal the complexities of family life.
