Description
The #MeToo movement has sparked a global conversation about sexual violence and its impact on women, transgender people, and girls. This collection of perspectives from scholars and activists around the world explores the complexities of gender-based violence, including masculinity studies, the experiences of transgender individuals, and the internal conflicts within communities. Edited by M. Cristina Alcalde and Paula-Irene Villa, #MeToo and Beyond brings together diverse voices to examine both universal and specific experiences of sexual violence. The contributors aim to amplify marginalized voices and promote a deeper understanding of gender-based violence and resistance. By exploring the intersections of power, identity, and activism, this book provides a nuanced analysis of the global movement and its ongoing impact on efforts to stop gender-based violence.
