Description
This book tells the story of the Methodist mission's global efforts over more than 200 years. At its core is a commitment to relieving human suffering and offering healing, hope, and holiness everywhere in the world.
From John Stewart's ministry among the Wyandotte Nation in America to the work of United Methodist Global Ministries today, this book explores how Methodists have learned about God's mission and are living it out. It describes the lessons of cooperation, humility, relationship, and holistic mission that guide their efforts.
Through its story, this book highlights the Methodist identity in a diverse world and the tensions that enrich our understanding of faith and service.
