Description

The Metamorphoses Books IX-XV. Vol. 2 by Ovid is a collection of poetry that explores the transformative power of change. Written in Latin, this work showcases Ovid's mastery of language and his ability to convey complex emotions through vivid imagery. Ovid's life was marked by both creative triumphs and personal struggles. Exiled from Rome, he continued to write poetry, producing works such as the Fasti, Amores, and Tristia, which offer a glimpse into his inner world. This volume brings together Books IX-XV of Ovid's Metamorphoses, a poem that has inspired artists and writers for centuries. Published in 1984, this edition is part of the Loeb Classical Library series, which presents Ovid's works in their original Latin form. With its lively, graphic, and lucid style, The Metamorphoses remains a powerful exploration of the human experience.
