Description
Simon Roberts' Merrie Albion explores Britain's communal experiences and the desire for shared presence. Over several projects from the last decade, he has documented leisure landscapes as well as social and political ones. This collection ranges across various themes, including our need to share a sense of belonging and participate in public events. By examining these aspects of British identity, Roberts sheds light on the country's character and national identity. Through his photographs, Roberts reveals the complexities of communal life in Britain, inviting readers to consider their own relationships with place and community.
