Description

Memory Ireland Volume 2: Diaspora and Memory Practices explores the complex relationship between Irish diasporic memory and cultural practices. This second volume in the series delves into how memories of home are formed, passed down, and represented in various forms.

The authors examine the ways in which immigrants remember their homeland and how descendants of immigrants connect with their ancestral heritage. They also investigate how cultural forms such as literature, festivals, and souvenirs shape memory practices.

Gathering leading voices in Irish studies, this volume offers new insights into the body of Irish cultural memory, highlighting the role of individual negotiations within wider cultural contexts.
