Description

Jana's dream destination is Tokyo, but she soon discovers that staying there can have unpredictable consequences. She finds herself trapped in the vibrant Shibuya district, where her younger self embarks on extraordinary experiences as she searches for her way back home.

Meanwhile, a young Japanese scholar living in Prague studies Japonology and dreams of securing a scholarship to study in Tokyo. As she delves into the translation of a Japanese short story with her friend, she grapples with the complexities of a different culture and the challenges of finding her place in the world.

This engaging novel explores the search for identity and belonging in a foreign land, navigating the blurred lines between reality and fantasy. With an approachable writing style, Anna Cima's debut work invites readers to reflect on their own paths towards self-discovery.
